1987 Ford Ranger squishy brakes

my brakes have no pressure when the truck is running, but if i shut it off, the pressure builds back up.is it the booster? if so, can it be fixed without replacement?

that would not be a issue with the booster. if the booster was bad the brakes would be hard not soft.

check for leaks. is the fluid low?
