1987 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

i have a nipple broken off the top side of the slave cylinder. it broke off in an attempt to remove the fluuid hose after a leak sprung up after installing new clutch, pressure plate a T.O. bearing. Unfirmiliar with the design of the cuplig assembly on topof the trans. so I need help ...can the nipple be replaced without pulling the trans. , and is this part of the slave cyl. and i have to replace intire slave?

Chances are, you'll need to drop the transmission / gearbox and remove/replace the slave cyliinder which is obviously wrapped around the input shaft, inside the bellhousing.

There simply isn't any or enough room otherwise to work around your dilemma.
