My ford ranger is pritty old i understand that when im driving down the road and i dont accelerate to 45 as fast as possible my truck refuses to accelerate and ends up "reving the engine" eventually it kicks into gear, also my truck seems to shake alot when parked at a stoplight or stopsign but dosnt shake as soon as i accelerate and advice would be extremly helpful

Has the check engine light come on? Also, when was the last tune up? Finally, that is a lot of miles. Have you checked engine compression? It may be getting low.

Let me know.
