1973 Ford Ranchero V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic unkown miles

i have a 73 ford ranchero with a 351 cleveland and a 2 barrel it wont to still run for a few seconds after you turn the engine off can you please tell me what the problem is

If by running you mean a problem called dieseling, clean the carbon from the heads, there are products that are poured into the carb that do this, then check timing and idle speed.
