Transmission problem
1967 Ford Ranchero Automatic

Looking for help! I’m looking into purchasing a 1967 Ford Ranchero for my daughter’s first car, but the seller told me the transmission is bad. Before I decide whether or not to purchase this vehicle I’m curious to know what I might expect to pay for a new or user transmission? All I know about the vehicle is it’s an automatic and the seller told me the vehicle will only work in reverse.
