I got a 1998 Ford Probe GT 2.2 Liter with 120,000 miles. First, I had no power to my fuel pump and I checked the cut off switch.....i hooked power straight from the battery to the pump and still nothing so I took the pump out to look at and it would only work if I taped on it. SO I put a new pump in and I still don't get power. I tested the fuel relay and it is good and all the fuses are good and the reset putting is reading good. So I once again hooked a power wire straight to the pump and I get fuel to the engine now and it stilll willn't fire. So I tested for spark and I"m getting good spark and I checked the timeing belt and everything is good. So I took a compresion test and it is good. now the my question is where do i hook up at for taken a fuel pressure test and why can't i get power from the factory wiring?? I know it should run with my power wire that I rigid up cause I had a 1991 Ford Probe GL 2.2 liter and I lost the power from the factory wiring and everything tested good for it too and I drove it for years that way till the motor went and I put a new one in it and after a couple of mounths it is did the samething as my 1989 one is doing. I got one more question is there away I can make a donation through the mail cause I don't like to give out my credit card or bank information online????? :D

Find the schraeder valve the tire valve looking thing on the fuel rail-that's where you hook-up. Depressurize the fuel system by pressing on it while covered with a rag-now hook-up -turn key to On-record reading and match it with the specification with and without vacuum at pressure regulator.
