I had the check engine light come on, and it was code P0400, EGR problem. I had another used EGR valve, replaced it but the light came back on. I replaced the EGR boost sensor (new), didn't fix it. I then replced the MAP sensor, again, no luck. I could not find any other components pertaining to the EGR system, so I replaced the EGR valve with a new one. Light came back on. I did run a wire through the egr exhaust port in the head, and didn't find any blockage (however I could only go so far and I'm not sure I got all the way through).

Is there any other component or test I should make that I'm missing?

Yes you need to clean the carbon out with, I use a length of coathanger, all the way to the throttle plate. Then reset the light, if it comes back, replace the EGR Position sensor.

EGR passage was clogged/gummed up at the exit point in the manifold, which is at the throttle body extrance. Cleaned it out and no light so far. It did display a P0505, "Idle malfunction" at first, but has idled correctly since then, and no other lights.
