1997 fprd probe gt v6 automatic

I have a 97 probe gt v6 .had no spark , I replaced the distributor and the car starts now but when the car gets hot the car stops runing and wont start again for a little .when this happens there is fuell pressure but no spark again . Any help would be helpful

Sounds to me like you got a bad distributor. This was a big problem on these GT's. The way you described it is classic bad distributor, though. Shuts off when it gets hot, then starts back up after it cools down. It will only get worse. Hopefully you can get the one you just put in replaced, 'cause they're not cheap. The problem is actually a module on the distributor, but when I had to buy one, it was actually cheaper to buy a whole new distributor. Let me know, and good luck.
