Hi there,
I would say that the clutch thrust bearing has seized and is dragging on the pressure plat fingers, the fingers will be getting ground down, this will have to be repaired with a new clutch assembly, do not just replace the thrust, as if the fingers are badly grooved, they may fail and you will be taking the box out again.

Labour will be around 7Hrs, check local labour rates, and parts approx $500.00 depending on brand, aftermarket will be cheaper.
