Hello, I have a battery gauge in my Ford Probe. When the engine is stopped, and when the contact is switched on, it indicates a charge level, which is rather low (almost in the minimum range). But once started, the gauge level is much higher (more or less in the middle). What is the real measure?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

I have already done those tests, everything seems fine, but should the gauge be at its maximum ? If yes, engine started or not ?

What is the voltmeter reading before you start it and after you start it-the gauge could be out of calibration.
