I have a 95 ford probe that starts up great but after driving it for awhile it starts acting up. It almost feels like the transmission wants to go out. I heard it might be a problem with the neutral safety switch, does anyone agree with this?

Actually, the neutral safety switch has nothing to do with it. Its job is to prevent the car from starting if it is in any gear other than park or neutral. Can you describe what exactly is happening? Is the trans going into neutral? Do you feel a miss or surge?

Let me know.
