1995 Ford Probe car cut out

amber car fuel cutout warning light switch came on dashboard so replaced fuel pump relay car started and ran for 5 minutes then cut out again with same problem light came back on dashboard checked fuel injection safety switch it had not been activated - am stumped what else could it be??
