1993 Ford Probe keeps overheating

my 1993 ford probe keeps overheating i put a new radiator in it and overflow tank i am going to put a thermostat in it but i was wondering if it has a blown head gasket because now it is smoking from the exhaust so any answers would help.

is coolant leaking? easy way to check for bad head gasket is to remove the radiator cap WHEN COLD, then start the vehicle (ensure NOBODY is around front of vehicle). If coolant shoots up and out of the radiator cap opening, you have bad head gasket or cracked head.
