My car doesn't seem to idle at all! When i first start it when the engine is cool, it will idle until it warms up then i have to hold my foot on the gas to keep it idling or else it will stall. This first started happening when i took it to a mechanic to get the air filter and everything checked, they first forgot to plug a wire back into the air filter sensor, then i brought it back and they noticed this was missed, plugged it back in then sent me on my way and INSISTED that it was like this before and was my problem and wouldn't fix it. What could the problem be and how would i be able to fix it??

Lets start by checking the idle speed control motor/valve, throttle position sensor and EGR valve then comback and give me some results-
