Car was driving fine. Lights were dim (all). Car died at a stop sign. Popped the clutch to get it going again. It died. Main fuse was blown but may have happened while trying to jump it. First how do I get that fuse out? What would make the battery die to the point that it won't start? Altenator? Or Battery? Or both?

Its the charging system (alternator) you must crossed the jumper cables when you tried to jump it that is a reason why fuse blown

You must unbolt the fuse panel and use a 8mm wrench to remove the fuse in question.
