i have a 1989 ford probe i drove it home and it shut off and wont start again unless i wire the fuel pump directly to the battery. i was wondering if anyone could tell me the problem and what wires to check ps i changed all the relays under kickpanal and hood no effect. and how much it would cost to get it repaired at a ford dealer? thanks

your fuel pump shut off (inertia ) switch may have failed. it is behind the left interior liftgate area trim panel.
