My compressor will only cycle when jumped I am reading 34 Low side and 110 when jumped to battery. And 110 psi and 110 psi when not cycling. Cant find this supposed A/C compressor clutch relay on the vehicle. I bought 1 from Rockauto and Auto Zone. Any ideas where this relay is or my optoins to jump the compressor? My impression is that this does not exist on the 1989 Probe Gt 2.2 L Turbo 5 speed manual trans.

Could be the AC relay no.2 or the clutch pressure cycling switch

Pressure cycling switch is new and there is no #2 relay on 2 wheel drive Manual transmission correct me if I am wrong. It wont even cycle when the pressure switch is jumped. Only when I Jump compressor wire to battery does the compressor go on.I guess I should start point to point with that new wire. Auto zone and rockauto both sell a A?C compressor relay that does not match any of the relays I can find on the probe? Now it looks like I can find the connector but the ford service manual only vaguely mentions the A/C compressor relay. Does not tell where it exactly is?I need to dig some more.

Does that mean that the whole dash need to be removed?[/Quote:f8b0d5e004]

Sure thats for the 1989 Probe gt 2.2 turbo 5 spd manua trans. I have the glove box off and was trying to find the compressor relay? The 1989 is the only year that they made my car. The other years have chnages that my car dont have because mine was the first yr the probe came out.I actually hooked up the compressor wire for a short time after trouble shooting the gr/bl wire and the clutch went on for a couple of seconds. Which leaves me to beleive I am short of oil or 134a, I am reading 28 low side and 105 high siide while jumped, and 96 low and 103 when the pressure equalizes after the compressor goes off. Any ideas or suggestions
