why is my brake pedal so spongy?????

I have a 2004 Ford Sport Trac we have replaced the master cylinder, front pads and rotors, check for leaks everywhere. the car stops but the pedal is very spongy. Local shop cant come up with the cause any ideas

Bleeding ford brakes can be a PITA. I have had to remove the front calipers and then bleed them to get all the air out of them. Also try adjusting the rear brakes up as much as possible. It helps.
