Hi, I have replaced the spark plugs and wires, put in fuel injector cleaner. And its still running rough at idle and when I go 35-40 mph. I was told it was running on 3 cylinders and that it could be the fuel injector. Are these 2 things related? I dont know what to do anymore and cant afford to spend money on trial and error. Can anyone help with suggestions? Id really appreciate any suggestions. Please feel free to email me @ memesangels0103@earthlink. Net. Thanks

The first thing you have to do is to find what cyl has the misfire. Let someone with some experience so you can find out whats wrong. Is the check engine light on?

No, the check engine light does not come on. I had someone quickly check the cylinders and he took out 1 of the 4 to show me and the car stopped running rough. The problem is definitely a cylinder problem. The cylinders are part of the spark plug wires, right? If you are looking at the engine it is the 3rd one. He also pointed to the fuel injector which then totally confused me. Then he rushed off. I dont know why I keep getting different stories, I guess that's why im here. Thanks

It is painfully obvious that you don't have a clue how a car works. It is important you find someone you can trust to check your car so you won't be "ripped off."

Basically the spark pugs are not the cylinders. They are screwed in the combuction chamber where the pistons go up and down in correct timing to fire the pulgs. The fuel injectors provide fuel in perfect time to the combustion chamber so they will ignite and cause the engine to run. The plug wire is connected on one end to the spark plug and the other end to the distributer which provides spark to the spark plugs.

Good luck but stay away from tire and muffler shops for car repair as the like to take advantage of people. I alway say you don't go to a heart doctor to get a tooth filled.

Good luck
