93 ford tuarus steering

I have a 1993 ford tuarus GL 3.8 v6 with 100000 miles. when I drive and turn the wheel it it's fine then it lose then fine then lose.when I'm at a stop it does the same thing. :(

Does your car have the vaps system, variable assist power steering??? The unit may be intermittently failing, when totally failed, steering will be extremely light, or loose as you're saying
