I PURCHASED A 2007 EDGE LAST WEEK. WHEN I STARTED IT IN THE DEALERS LOT I DID NOT FEEL IT TURNED OVER AS FAST AS IT SHOULD HAVE. I HAVE DRIVEN IT ABOUT 150 MILES AND WHILE WAITING FOR MY WIFE TO COME OUT OF A STORE THE RADIO STARTED GOING OFF. IF I STARTED THE ENGINE, THE RADIO WOULD COME BACK ON FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN GO OFF IN A FEW MINUTES. WHEN MY WIFE CAME OUT OF THE STORE THE MOTOR WOULD NOT AGAIN START.
i assume the reason the raido went off was due to the automatic accessory cut off when the battery is low. Now my question is do you think the battery is bad or do you think it is possible that the internal regulator in the alternator might be malfunctioning and not allowing the battery to fully charge?

Thanking you in advance for your opinion.

Id bet its your battery. A lot of times if vehicle sits on the lot for a while and the battery dies, they usually jump start them to recharge them. Unfortunately this does not sufficiently charge the battery, doing damage to its life expectancy. I would put in a new battery. Feedback and votes are appreciated if I have helped you.
