2005 Other Ford Models battery light coming on intermittent

FORD TRANSIT CONNECT.
THE BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON AFTER 2 MINUTES RUNNING ,SOMETIMES IT GOES OF BUT MORE OFTEN THAN NOT STAYS ON.
A NEW ALTERNATOR HAS BEEN FITTED AND IT IS PUTTING OUT 14.5 VOLTS.

you must have a bad connection between alternator and gauge .. check the wiring plugs on the back of the alternator !
