This description is from the focus. I think if I remember rightly the C. Max is the fiesta which wasn't released here in the U.S.. But the principles are basically the same. Let me know if you have any difficulty?

FRONT BRAKE CALIPER & PADS
Removal
NOTE:It is not required to install new brake pads if friction material properties are within guidelines. It is also not required to install new brake pads when the brake discs are machined.

Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheels.
Detach brake hose from support bracket.
Loosen brake hose. Using 2 screwdrivers, pry loose outer brake pad retaining clip. Remove bolt covers. Remove caliper bolts. Pull caliper outward to release piston. Remove and support caliper.
Lift outer pad retaining clip over spring retaining lugs.
If caliper requires service, disconnect brake hose from caliper and cap brake hose.

Installation
If caliper was removed, connect brake hose to caliper.
CAUTION:If the caliper piston is retracted into the housing, brake fluid will be displaced from the master cylinder.

Compress piston until it is fully seated in caliper bore.
Install inboard pad in caliper.
Install outboard pad. Push the outer retaining clip over the spring retaining lugs. Ensure brake disc surfaces are clean before installation. Position caliper on caliper anchor plate.
Install caliper bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
Locate the outer pad retaining clip.
Connect brake hose at strut support bracket and brake caliper. Refill and bleed system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
