Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Other Ford Models 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 60.000 miles

my van has been running fine then all of a sudden the van lost power and started making a tapping noise i have check the timing and every thing is timed up the engine turns freely but now the starter will not turn the engine over, the belt is was only fitted a few thousand miles ago any ideas

check battery is good .. check starter motor and wiring is good
