My driver's door lock seems to be jammed. I can lock it with my key but when I come to unlock it I can't turn the key in that direction. However once inside (via the passenger door) I can open the drivers door with the inside handle. I've had the drivers door panel off and the lock seems to encased, so i'm not sure what the likely problem is with the key lock?

Take the panel back off and unhook the key tumbler from the latch assembly and move the rod by hand to be sure it is the tumbler and not the latch that is preventing no key unlock
