Electrical problem
1972 Other Ford Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

have replaced plugs,wires,rotor, distributor cap, and coil and the truck ran for a week and now is dead. could i be needing to replace the points/

On all vehicle that have points I would suggest when doing a tune up that the points be included.

Did you check the gap on the points?

Did you check to make sure you have fuel spraying into the Carb.
