I have a 1966 Ford Pickup 240ci. I need a carburetor. What models of single barrel carborators will work on this motor. I find many with the early years 60-64, and 67-the 70s, but have not found information for the 66. I have a manual transmission.
I aquired a carburetor that I was told should fit, but the base was to large.

I believe the carb with too large a base is probably 300 cubic inch carb. will not work. go to ebay car and truck parts.click on that, go to top of page type in 240 cubic inch carbuerator.1 item should come up item 250305899195 seller Mc donalds obsolete parts. $49.00 and $8.00 shipping remanufactured ready to go.can't beat it.it says 1973 but it will work.
