1961 Other Ford Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

I cant get the drivers side axle to go all the way in. I think it has a split side gear and the splines are not aligned. What is the trick??

Try rotating the passenger side just a little bit, forward and reverse, side gear may have moved due to wheel spin...
