1960 Other Ford Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1950 ford pick up truck with a 302 V8. When i start the truck it will run but only for a short time. when i hit the throttle the motor dies down and eventually dies.. i checked the gaskets for leaks and everything. i didnt know if i should check the fuel pump or the vaccum pump. it dies like it doesnt get enough fuel when you hit the throttle.

Hi there,

I would be checking the fuel pressure & the float hight in the carby as well. stat here.
