TRANSMISSION SYNCRO QUESTION

I have a 1996 Ford Mustang GT with 135,000 miles and I am having problems shifting into 5th gear. It hesitates to get into just 5th gear. Could it be that my syncro is going bad, and does it require droping the transmission to fix it?

Yes a bad syncro. Not only droping the tranny but a complete dissasembly and not cheap. It would be cheaper to buy a rebuilt tranny with a warranty. Good Luck
