Low oil pressure 68 289

I have a 1968 Ford mustang engine 289 that was rebuilt by the previous owner 20,000 miles ago. It is mildly built up with cam, carb and headers, it has recently dropped oil pressure to about 25 at speed and 5-10lb at idle, I have replaced the gauge and oil pump with a high flow pump but still show the same poundage, any other checks I can perform to help pinpoint the problem? Any advice would be great, thank you!

That high pressure pump is probably not the solution. A standard pump is the right one. But, that's not your problem. I'm assuming you've got fresh oil of a summer viscosity range in the engine. If the pressure dropped over a short period of time then that indicates an internal engine oil leak. The rod bearings are the most likely culprit. Pull the pan and check them for damage. Replace as necessary.
