My heater hose start off leaking and my car started running slightly higher than normal until one day I took the car to a car wash (only time I was driving it at the time was to wash it) and the hose blew off. It is the hose coming from the heater core on the passenger side, but there are two hoses side by side, the one that blew off would be the one on the right if you are looking at it straight on (so the hose closer to the driver side/middle of the car). I'm just trying to figure out if the part I was going to order (Motorcraft KH58) is the correct hose for that side before I make the purchase and replace the hose myself. I just replaced all of the blown fuses and my fuel pump/filter myself after this my car should be back to fully running again.

Hello,

The way to do this is to take the hose off of your vehicle and take it to the auto parts store. They will then be able to easily match it up with the replacement. It will be important to get the correct hose as these hoses are molded with some sharp angles to them. Please get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex

I did a bit more digging/research on it. Looking up both hoses then comparing them to what is on my car now. Its seems like the KH58 (return) is what I need as the other hose (Inlet) drops down further than the one I need to replace. Since the KH58 is shorter coming from the heater core to that angle then it would be the right hose. If you look at pictures of how the hoses are on the car side by side, they both angle off to the right going into the engine, one drops further but has a closer connector (The KH1054 inlet), the other barely drops down at all before that angle and goes a bit further behind the engine (Which would be the KH58 return), and that would be the one needing replaced. Not sure why it took so much digging to find this info (Maybe because its a bit older of a car) but figured id make the post in case anyone else has the same issue and needs to know which part to order. So to shorten what I said, looking at the hoses side by side on the car, the left one would be the KH1054 inlet hose, and the right one would be the KH58 return hose. Thanks for the help though.
