On my mustang my brake lights are permanent on, with the igniton off, the key out and the brake pedal released.
Ford Mustang 5005 GT convertible 2200 miles.
Can you help me?

On the brake pedal there is a switch, First try just pulling up on the pedal, If that doesn't work replace the switch. It called "stop light switch"!

It isn't the swich, I put the switch of and the lights are still ligthening.
Is there a relay between the switch and the lights(if there is, can you tell me its location).

Did you change any bulbs recently? Ive seen strange things happen when the wrong types are put in.

If you unplugged the switch and the brake lights are still on try pulling the fuse. It seems you have a short. Unplugging the switch will determine that for shure. Do the rest of your lights work correctly?
