When removing the hazard switch the wires disconnected from the female connector.Only one wire remains connected
89 Ford Mustang lx 2.3 l 150k miles
the prongs inside the switch body are labeled
(left - right) L E R F...top
S G I....bottom
the wires are as follows:
Double (2 wires connected) - Black
Red white
Double - Blue orange/blue white
orange yellow
green
Double - red blue
the Blue wire still attached corresponds to the ( S ) prong on the switch
I just tagged this car and need to get it inspected tomorrow ( seems its not 10 business days :p) or get fined.
I removed the hazard switch since it wasnt functioning and suspected it may be related to other
troubles i.e ( when the gas guage randomly went up the oil pressure guage went down :P:) I was looking for a loose ground.
someone may have been there before me but the way these wires popped out disturbs me greatly:P
is this a problem associated with general age or is there engineering issues involved with this make of car. ( i have never seen this happen before)
