The first thing I would do is check base idle. You need to unplug the idle air control motor, start the car up, you might need to depress the throttle a bit to get it started. Ease back on the throttle, the car should stay running (600 to 700 rpm). If not you need to turn the throttle stop screw to get it to idle about 650 to 700rpm
