Hello, I belive I have a problem with my battery or wireing etc. It started a couple weeks ago when the cold weather hit here in michigan, every night my battery is getting sapped by something, when I try to start it in the morning I cant. Cant even use the remote keylock thing.

Now ive taken the battery out. Took it to auto zone. They tested it and said its holding a charge and that the battery was alright. So I took the charged battery put it back in my car. Started fine. So I took my car over to auto zone. They tested my alternator. Everything is fine with that as well. Next morning same thing. Car battery is dead. What could be sapping the battery like that? And how can I fix it :D. And replies are greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation.

You will have to do a current draw test, that is you have to place a suitable Amp meter (0-10 amps) between battery Pos (+) and the cable, don't try and start the cay set up like this. With the key out and doors closed check the currant draw, it should be only about.15 Amps if higher start pulling fuses and fusible links to isolate the circuit that is drawing the current, also disconnect the alternator as you can have a faulty diode in the alternator which can be draining current and this will not show up as a charging fault, start here.
