A few weeks ago I noticed that my speedometer was off by about 10 mph when I was driving. At first I presumed it to be a battery problem. It was cold at the time, but I hadn't made the connection. After testing and replacing my battery I didn't see any problems since.
This past weekend I was leaving early in the morning, and it was pretty cold out, around the low to mid 40s. This is at the tail end of a Texas summer, so that is cold weather than what my car has been used to. When I started it up, my speedometer immedietly dropped below 0 and remained there for the duration of my drive. Later in the day, after the temperature rose, my speedometer worked fine. The next morning, the same situation happened again. Since then it has been warmer in the morning, and I have not had problems.
