The fuel pump fuse keeps blowing why?

I have replaced fuel pump, cleaned fuel tank and lines and it still keep a blowing the fuel pump fuse, the only diagnostics code I am getting is "fuel pressure regulator" please advise of what it could be.

If you are blowing a fuse then its either an open or a short in the circuit. The first thing you can do is use a multimeter and test both sides of the fuel pump fuse to ground. If you get continuity then you have a short. If not then you will need to trace the wires back from the pump and at each plug or connection test each side of it and make sure you have a good circuit. If one of the connections is bad it will increase the current draw and blow a fuse. Some tutorials below for you.

Tracing this whole circuit and all the connections wont be easy and make sure you check every inch of wire for chafes.
