Engine Cooling problem
2005 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

MY CAR WAS RUNNING FINE UNTIL I PUT SOME WATER IN IT NOW WHEN I COME TO A STOP ARE THE CAR IS JUST SITTING STILL IT RUNS HOT. WHY?

First, using water instead of a coolant mix will damage your cooling system.

Your first step is to pressure test the cooling system and determine where that coolant went. If you have gotten it too hot in the meantime, you may have damaged a head gasket now.
