My check fuel cap light is on and i do not know what this is about. dose it have something to do with my engine?

could just be the filler cap is not on correctly ... could also mean you have a slight leak in the EVAP system .. have your cars PCM/ECU read for faults .. the codes should help ypu pinpoint the location of the fault ??
