I have 02 mustang that seems to start a bit hard after the car sits over nite. But after it starts its fine for the rest of the day. Fuel filter is new. fuel pressure is 35 psi at idle. Is it posable that the electric fuel pump is giving out.

Hi Thomas Potere, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

Take the fuel pressure reading before you start the vehicle-key on engine off KOEO see below

Mustang (3.8L) 35-55psi (240-380)
Mustang (4.6L 2V) 39-70psi (270-483)
Mustang (4.6L 4V) 39-55psi (270-380

If its lower than above-its leaking somewhere could be the injectors or the fuel pressure regulator-also might want to check on the engine coolant temperature sensor this is the one that tells the computer to enrich the fuel for cold starts-like a carb choke
