HI IM NEW TO THIS SITE AND GLAD I FOUND IT BUT I HAVE A SERIOUS ISSUE. MY 2002 3.8L STANG CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND LOW FUEL LIGHT CAME ON. THEN THE FUEL GAUGE WENT FROM FULL TO EMPTY BUT THERE WAS GAS IN THE TANK. WHEN I START DRIVING IT, THE FUEL NEEDLE WENT TO FULL THEN EMPTY AND THE LOW FUEL LIGHT COMES ON. I GOT A BUDDY OF MINE TO CHECK OBD-II AND GAVE ME A CODE "P0460 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Malfunction" I HAD PEOPLE TELLING ME IT MIGHT BE MY FUEL PUMP GOING OUT. SO I THOUGHT YOU GUYS MIGHT KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH MY CAR. ANY RESPONSE WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.

Probably a resistance issue with the tank sending unit, I don't know if it's repairable by itself, some were integral to the fuel pump and not repairable as a stand-alone part.. not sure of yours

I think you have a reset/cut off fuel switch in the trunk under the carpet, if that doesn't work, hook up a computer and diagnose
