I have a 2001 Ford mustang gt. It has been sitting in my garage over winter. I went to start it and it wouldn't start. I tried it the next day and it kicked on after a couple times. I drove it around the block and it would want to die every time I gave it a little gas. Pretty sure its the fuel pump but could it just be the relay instead? Thanks

Try replacing the fuel filter that don't work-check the fuel pressure.

I have a 2000 GT. At about 45K the car would give me trouble starting in the mornnings. It would turn over and over, but not start. Would wait 30 min, then would start normal. Also would occasionaly hesitate when accelerating. Replaced fuel filter... no change. Took it to the shop, ran pressure tests, checked out ok. When I went to pick it up at the shop, car would not start, only then were they able to recieve a code for a fuel pump fault. New pump, and 20K later car runs great. I guess the fuel pump and system is prone to mustang owners problems.
