whenever i start my car, i have to step and keep my foot on the gas or my car will die. After about 2 minutes of holding it, my car will be normal. is it a transmission problem or maybe a fuel filter? thank you.

If it runs ok when warm, replace the ECT which is the engine coolant temperture sensor.
