2000 Ford Mustang Oil Pressure Switch

I have a 2000 ford mustang and my oil gauge keeps going up and down, the light doesn't come on and I have plenty of oil in the car. I was wondering if I need to replace my oil pressure switch or is it something else???????

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could mean oil pump or engine bearings
