The code says to replace the thermostat with a 195' degree stat. The mechenic has replaced it three times. The light comes back on. One of the 2 sensors was replaced.

what's going on?
code says the engine is not getting hot fast enough to close the loop and keep the light off.
what can make this happen?
thanks.

Thanks for your response.

I'll ask my mechanic, I think he said 06?

But he seems to think the previous owner had the computer ship "flashed" for a faster engine and messed up the computer.

Of course, the previous owner had the check light cleared prior to me buying it. I think that is illegal?

But anyway it's my problem now!

I do hope the mechanic knows what he is talking about. I want the problem fitted (it's a nice car) but I don't want to put parts on it that will not help the situation.
How does that sound to you?
Doug
