1996 Ford Mustang Trouble code 0443 EVAP VMC circuit fault

I keep getting trouble code 0443 every time I put fuel in the tank. I have replaced the EVAP sensor as suggested but still have the problem

Maybe fuel cap not sealing well. Do you erase code or light gose off after awhile?
