Fan runs when power applied with tester, eleminating the fan motor, no automatic operation when engine reaches operating temp. Car has not been driven for two years. Question: which sensor controls the cooling fan and where is it located?
Thank you for all your help.

check the cooling fan controller, located under the instrument panel between the steering column and left side cowl panel. it should have 2 relays on controller. if these are OK, check coolant temperature switch. Use jumper wire between connector and ground on circuit # 45 (yellow / red wire). Turn ignition on, if fan runs replace switch.
