I recently installed a new motor in the car after it sat for about 6 months. When I hooked up the battery the fuel pump started running and would not shut off, causing fuel to leak out the pressure regulator.
the only way it shuts off is by disconnecting the battery or pulling the relay under the seat. Do I need to replace the fuel pump? Will the new one do the same thing?

Hello
Ok, I would say you have 2 problems...
One the Relay is stuck closed causing continuous power to pump.
