1986 Ford Mustang V8 Manual 196602 miles

i was driving to class and when i was going 55mph and when i step on the gas to go a little faster it don't really wanna go, even if i step on it to the floor and it still don't wanna go. when i pull over and turn the car off for 5 min and turn it back on it drive fine for about 15 min then it happen again, it don't wanna go when i step on the gas paddle. i was thinking it could be the fuel filter so i changed and the next day i drove it for 30 min and it happen again.

It sounds like a fuel problem. With the new filter already in, you may want to check your fuel pressure at the regulator. If the fuel pressure is low, it will act just as you described.

You need an adapter that fits between the fuel line and the fuel rail. You should be able to get what you need at any auto parts store.
